CELEBRITY MARKETING CAMPAIGN
Client: Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo
Situation
Attendance data showed that the number of local and regional residents who visited the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo had declined. Opinion surveys revealed that people believed the zoo's animal collection and acreage were much smaller than they were. Also, people did not know that the train ride, the boat ride or the summer camp program existed.
Solution
The Go Bazooka Become A Zoo Kid Again campaign was designed to spark awareness, change perceptions and drive zoo attendance among local and regional residents. A full-color, double-sided table-tent featuring a photo of a local celebrity was placed in participating restaurants and a series of black-and-white print ads ran in newspapers.
